Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ
General Product Information
A: The Luba is a robotic lawn mower designed to handle large lawns with precision GPS navigation and customizable mowing zones. The Yuka expands functionality with additional smart
lawn-care features such as collection, dethatching, and sweeping, depending on configuration. Both models are wire-free, app-controlled, and designed for different homeowner needs: Luba for consistent mowing, Yuka
for multi-task lawn management.
A: Mammotion products are designed for a wide range of residential lawns, including small, medium, and large yards, multiple mowing zones, uneven terrain, and sloped properties.
The best model depends on lawn size, grade, layout, and the features required.
A: The mowers include obstacle, lift, and tilt safety features and stop the blades when lifted. Children and pets should still be kept away while the mower is operating, and the
owner’s manual should always be followed.
A: Mammotion mowers are weather-resistant and can operate in light rain. For better cutting results and to protect the lawn, avoid mowing during heavy rain, standing water, or
very wet soil.
A: RTK-assisted GPS navigation is designed for highly precise positioning. Accuracy depends on a clear sky view, correct base-station placement, local obstructions, and proper
setup.
Setup & Installation
A: Setup involves: 1. Placing the charging station in a flat, open area with good sky visibility. 2. Connecting the station to power. 3. Pairing the mower with the Mammotion app.
4. Using the app to map your lawn, define mowing zones, and set no-go areas. No boundary wires are needed thanks to GPS mapping.
A: No. Mammotion’s compatible GPS/RTK models use virtual boundaries created in the app, so a traditional buried perimeter wire is not required.
A: Install the Mammotion app, turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on your phone, add the mower in the app, and follow the on-screen pairing instructions. Keep the phone close to the mower
during the initial connection.
A: Included accessories vary by model and package. They typically include the charging station, power adapter, mounting hardware, replacement blades, and setup documentation. Check
the package list for the exact model.
A: Place the charging station on firm, level ground near a power source, with clear access for the mower and good GPS and Wi-Fi conditions. Secure it according to the installation
guide.
A: Yes. The Mammotion app can be used to map multiple mowing zones, connecting channels, and no-go areas around flower beds, pools, play equipment, or other spaces.
Operation & Use
A: You can start, pause, or stop mowing directly on the mower’s control buttons or through the app.
A: Yes. Use the Mammotion app to create recurring mowing schedules and select the zones, days, and times you want the mower to operate.
A: Cutting height can be adjusted through the app or on the mower, depending on the model. Use the recommended range for your grass type and current lawn conditions.
A: Slope capability varies by model. Check the specification for the mower you are considering and have the property evaluated when the lawn includes steep or complex terrain.
A: Yes. Map permanent features as boundaries or no-go zones and allow the mower’s obstacle-detection system to identify unexpected objects. Keep the lawn clear of small loose items.
A: Runtime varies by mower model, cutting conditions, terrain, grass height, and battery condition. The mower automatically returns to the charging station when the battery becomes
low.
A: Charging time depends on the model and battery level. After recharging, the mower can automatically continue an unfinished mowing task.
App & Connectivity
A: Use the Mammotion app, available for iOS and Android.
A: Connect the mower through the Mammotion app. When an update is available, follow the in-app instructions and keep the mower powered and connected until the update is complete.
A: Voice-assistant support depends on the current mower model, app version, and region. Check the latest Mammotion app settings and product documentation for available integrations.
A: Move the mower to an open area, confirm the RTK/base station has power and a clear sky view, check Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, and restart the mower and app. Review the error shown
in the app if the issue continues.
Maintenance
A: Typically every 2–3 months, depending on lawn size and mowing frequency. Dull blades tear grass and reduce cut quality.
A: Turn the mower off, remove grass and debris from the cutting deck, wheels, and sensors with a soft brush, and wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Follow the cleaning instructions
for the specific model.
A: Use only the cleaning method allowed in the model’s manual. Avoid high-pressure water and do not direct water into charging contacts, connectors, or openings.
A: Clean and dry the mower, charge the battery as recommended, power it down, and store it in a dry, protected place. Store the charging equipment according to the manufacturer’s
instructions.
Troubleshooting & Common Issues
A: Ensure the dock is plugged in, the power light is on, and the charging contacts are clean. Try reseating both the dock and mower.
A: Check the app for an error message, inspect for an obstacle or blocked blade disc, confirm battery and GPS status, and restart the task after the cause has been cleared.
A: Check the map and zone boundaries, inspect blade condition, remove debris, confirm the mowing height, and review the route and schedule. Remap the affected area if necessary.
A: Make sure the route to the dock is clear, the dock is level and powered, and the mapped location has not changed. Check GPS/RTK signal and remap the charging area if required.
A: A GPS error usually means the mower or RTK/base station does not have a reliable positioning signal. Check power, sky visibility, placement, and nearby obstructions, then restart
the system.
A: Confirm Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled, move the phone and mower closer together, verify the network password, restart the app and mower, and try the pairing process again.
A: Pause the mower, switch it off before handling it, remove the obstruction, and inspect the wheels and cutting area. Adjust the map or create a no-go zone if the same location
causes repeated problems.
